Checking in for the First Time

Hey there Eagle fam. I'm EriKa, also known as EriKa A. The weeks seemed to have gone by so quickly. It seems like my wonderful Class of 2014 just started moving in all of our stuff into our rooms and now midterms are around the corner. Where does the time go? Getting involved in activities on campus is a way to guarantee to watch time slip out of your hands, which is why time management is key. I learned that the hard way. I overslept for my 8 am class on the first Friday of classes; that was not a good look. Since then I have learned to discipline myself [which includes keeping my alarm clock away from me so I have to walk to turn it off instead of lift a finger]. I have not missed another class :)

Most people forget there is a lovely piano in there.

Some of you may be wondering well, what is there to do at night on campus? Of course every one's first thought is.... PARTY!! The truth is there is so much more to do than party. The more organizations I join, the less time I have to even think about partying. I really only went out during the Week of Welcome and Pre-Dawn of course. Pre-Dawn was pretty interesting except for the fact that a lot of my friends could not get in :(

Note to my future eagles: Always show up to Pre-Dawns EARLY or any event for that matter because as one of my friends told me [and now I am telling you] "Nobody likes a late eagle"
